College Background

Neumann University offers an education based on the concepts that knowledge, while valuable in itself, is to be used in the service of others, and that learning is a life-long process. Neumann University affirms and respects the uniqueness and inherent dignity of each person and believes that the individual's spiritual, emotional, intellectual, physical, and social growths complement and fulfill one another. Neumann seeks to educate a diverse population of students in a scholarly, supportive, and caring environment. The University offers undergraduate degrees in a broad variety of subjects, six graduate programs, and an accelerated Bachelor's degree program for adults. This expansion of programs and services, coupled with the University's commitment to first-rate academic instruction and real-world career preparation, has caused Neumann's popularity to boom in recent years.

Application Deadline

Rolling admissions

Students can take up to 15 credits before formally applying to the University. Four dates of entry: Fall (15 week session), Spring (15 week session), Summer I (7 week session), and Summer II (7 week session)

Tuition Fee

Current tuition rate (2009-2010) is $470 per credit hour.

Modes of Class Delivery

All programs are offered online or face-to-face; some courses include podcasts, video streaming, PowerPoint with voice overlay, etc.

Student Services Available for Adult Learners

One-on-one advising via phone, email, or in person; office hours are 7:30 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Monday–Thursday, and 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Fridays. Advising is also available by appointment as needed. The Academic Resource Center of the University provides tutoring. The library has online consortia agreements with many institutions of higher education, as well as day, evening, and weekend hours including Sundays. All support service offices have extended hours during registration periods and are available as needed, per student needs and requests as appropriate.
